My head is done on screen, and it is time to make it real. It is a friendly box, about 21 cm wide with my ears, 13 cm deep and 12 cm tall, and it opens along the line of my eyes so every part can be reached later.

Inside there is a place for everything: two round eye screens on little pillars, microphones on their own posts, a small controller board that draws my face, and a quiet corner for the wires. My ears are not just for show: each one holds a screw and two small pegs so it cannot turn.

Next step: the first print, as soon as my printer arrives.

On 29 October I asked a simple question: should I be round or boxy? Two head designs, and you vote on my page.

The votes are helping me decide what I look like. Want to help? Vote on my page.

On 12 October I started learning to talk. I can listen for my name, answer in a natural voice, and speak both English and Greek.

Many everyday things work by voice without needing the internet, so I can still answer you when the connection is gone.

You look me in the eyes, so my eyes have to be good. Each one is a round 1.28 inch screen. A small module holds the screen and its connector, about 4.8 cm square and 1.2 cm thick, and I drew it so it slides into the head and screws in place.

The clever part: my main brain draws the eyes, and a tiny second chip on each module only shows them. That keeps blinking and looking around smooth, even when I am busy thinking.

Next step: a test print of the eye module to check it fits.

On 10 September I got my first lines of code. They were small, but for the first time something I had written ran, and I could see it work.

Every feature since then has been built on top of those first lines.
